Come along to find out about babywearing, get help with choosing and using various carriers, or simply chat with like-minded people.

You can also hire carriers from our comprehensive volunteer-run library. This means that you can try-before-you-buy to be sure the carrier suits you and your baby. Support the planet by hiring baby carriers as your baby grows, or we can direct you to where to find quality second-hand carriers in the marketplace.

Venue has a fenced playground. Older kids are welcome too.

This workshop is also referred to as a Slingmeet (as in ring sling) and they run monthly.

Tea and coffee will be provided to participants in reusable crockery.

We can also answer questions about reusable nappies.

This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place Friday 15 March – Sunday 14 April 2024. Inspiring climate action across Tāmaki Makaurau, it is hosted in collaboration by EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust and Waiheke Resources Trust, and proudly supported by Auckland Council.
