Aotearoa Is Rising - Hīkoi for Humanity Ōtautahi

On the 5th of April, Aotearoa is Rising.
Thousands of people across Aotearoa will be hitting the streets to demand that the new coalition government puts people before profit.
In the past few months since the 2023 General Election we have seen the government ignite culture wars across the motu, with millions of people being harmed by what is already one of the most regressive governments in the history of NZ.

On April 5th, dozens of kaupapa will uniting under the shared kaupapa of humanity.
This is will include kaupapa such as Te Tiriti, Palestine, Climate, LGBTQIA+, Pasifika, workers, etc.

In 2019, we saw tens of thousands of brave kiwis take to the streets in the School Strike 4 Climate to demand that the government protect te taiao, and from that we saw the creation of the Zero Carbon Act and the Climate Emergency Declaration. But the government already has plans to roll back the Zero Carbon Act as well as several other crucial policies.

We must stand together and fight back in peaceful protest.
