I used fragments as the title for these latest smaller works as I see these as not only ideas for larger works, but also as fragments of images from photographs and drawings and places remembered, made while travelling through the Southern landscape.
They depict the changing atmosphere throughout a day, with emphasis on the impact of light on colour and shadows over seascapes, landscapes and cloud forms. I try to capture the essence of a place, seen or remembered and allow the viewer to project their own interpretations.
