Al-Anon Family Group meetings are a free community resource that offers mutual support for anyone affected by another person's drinking/drug use. We believe that alcoholism is a family illness, often spanning generations and that changed attitudes can lead to recovery.

At this event three Al-Anon members will speak about their Al-Anon recovery, followed by a question and answer session. Free information about Al-Anon Family Groups is available to take away and the opportunity to talk to members. Al-Anon has been operating in Aotearoa/New Zealand since 1954.

We extend a warm welcome to members of the public and to health professionals who wish to attend this event. Our 2021 membership survey results show 41 percent of respondents were receiving treatment prior to attending or were referred to Al-Anon by a health professional.
