A Devotion To Form

This retrospective exhibition is a celebration of art practice in New Zealand over the past ten years, and also includes various projects made in Sweden.

The title A Devotion to Form has been at the core of the artist's creative exploration all the way from the start. She has had an affinity with form and an innate urge to create and make things. A curious mind and a strong need to be creative led Sylvia to be experimental with a multitude of mediums and techniques over the years. This exhibition reflects the various mediums and forms from paintings to sculptural pieces that embrace ceramics, stoneware, mixed media, acrylics and recycled materials.

This exhibition is a closure and a new beginning at the same time.
