Please come along to joining our yearly Thai festival, Loy-Krathong at Victoria University, The Hub, Kelburn campus.

What is Kra-thong?
Kra-thong is traditionally a small floating container fashioned of leaves. A Kra-thong is decorated with elaborately folded banana leaves, three incense sticks and a candle. In Thai culture, we float (Loy) the Kra-thong to worship and ask for forgiveness to Gossess of water traditionally.

At the Wellington Loy-krathong Thai Festival, there will be plenty of activities, such as
- DIY your own Kra-thong
- Fun activities for the whole family (dress up in Thai dress, paper painting, games)
- Quiz with prizes giving!
- Performances of Traditional Thai dancing
- Thai Boxing show from Kru Chain Muay Thai
- Yummy Thai food from well-known restaurants in Wellington
- Thai Souvinior shops
