Wairarapa Walking Festival 2023 - Heritage Walk

Carterton’s built heritage from the 1870s is beautifully preserved in several houses in and around the Andersons Line area.

Pene Will, President of Carterton District Historical Society will lead the short walk.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to see properties up close that would not be accessible at any other time. Several current property owners have agreed to talk about their history. Learn about sawmills and farriers and houses built from totara.

Meet by the North End Super Store. Please wear walking shoes as some parts only have grass verges, no footpath.
