Unforgettable - The Nat King Cole Story

A modern window into the life, times and music of the musical legend Nat King Cole

Long-time music educator and Tauranga Big Band Director Murray Mason has teamed up with Tauranga Director Merv Beets and 16th Ave Theatre to present a warm and intimate narrated concert that will transport you to a 1960's American Jazz Club. A program of Nat King Cole's most famous songs stylistically spanning six decades will be delivered by Michelle Coombe, Matilda Vahey-Bourne, Anna Sherrer and Barry Spedding. Backing will be provided by some of BOP's top jazz musicians: Alana Milson (Keys,) Murray Mason (guitar/vocals), James Upjohn (Bass), Jeff Baker (Drums), Andrew Robinson (Saxophone) and Abbie Crossley (backing vocals/keys/ aux percussion).
