The Wizard of Oz

Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide.

Feilding High School Musical Theatre is back with the incredibly iconic show: The Wizard of Oz. Chosen due to its universal themes of courage and friendship, its classic characters, and of course, its recognisable songs and scenes, The Wizard of Oz is the perfect show for all the family.

Our four main actors include Year 13 lead vocalist Rylee Scott as Dorothy Gale (an experienced vocalist who has performed in numerous groups across genres to a high level), Year 12 student Eden Stroud (last seen playing Macbeth in her Year 11 Production) and two up and coming Year 11’s; Nate Duthie as the Scarecrow and Theo McMenamin as the Tinman. Supporting the leads is a wide range of talent in our ensemble and band, as well as an elite dance collective mentored by professional choreographer Brooke Roydhouse. Onstage, over 45 students and a live dog as Toto, will be bringing this fun, fierce and fantastical show to life in Feilding for five shows only!
