Natural History Week at Marlborough Museum presents:

The Lorax by Dr Seuss Family Celebration

Join us for a reading of this classic masterpiece and come dressed as your favourite character to win amazing prizes. If you don’t have time to make a costume, come wearing orange because after the reading we will be making Lorax moustaches and eyebrows for everyone.

The Lorax remains a staple of children's reading lists for its whimsical characters and wonderful, Seussical wordplay. But its cautionary message is as important today as it ever was. Respect for the environment and all living creatures will help us preserve the planet for ourselves and future generations.

Way back in the days when the grass was still green
and the pond was still wet
and the clouds were still clean,
and the song of the Swomee-Swans rang out in space...
one morning, I came to this glorious place.
And I first saw the trees!
The Truffula Trees!
The bright-coloured tufts of the Truffula Trees!
Mile after mile in the fresh morning breeze.

Call 03 578 1712 or email info@marlboroughmuseum.org.nz to book for this event.
