Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori / Lion King Reo Māori Screening

Please join us to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori at our exclusive screening of The Lion King - the reo Māori version. Sunday 17 September at 2pm at the iconic Hollywood Cinema in Avondale, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

At For Purpose we’re 100% behind Te Wiki, this being our fourth year supporting Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori in this amazing kaupapa, and are thrilled to collaborate with Hollywood Avondale to bring you a special fundraising screening of the beloved film Lion King in reo Māori. Come along, brush up on your reo Māori, catch a Disney classic and celebrate with us. The event raises funds to support language education and community programmes led by Te Ataarangi Trust.

This year Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week) runs 11-17 September 2023, it invites us to celebrate the Māori language together, to kōrero (speak), waiata (sing), pānui (read) and . So get amongst it with us, come along and mātaki (watch) on Sunday 17 September at 2pm.
