St Patrick’s Day @ Toitū
Friday 17 March

Otago has a rich heritage of Irish settlement – join us in celebrating St Patrick’s Day with friends and family at Toitū Otago Settlers Museum!

We’ll be open late for you to join the Irish community in sharing the wonders of the Emerald Isle.

Kicking things off at 2pm, learn the history of Irish immigration in Otago from Toitū curator Sean Brosnahan, then join in the festive evening atmosphere as the Josephine Foyer transforms with song and dance. Taste some traditional Irish food, learn the language with Dr Diarmaid Coffey, sit back and relax watching some classic Irish films, or dive into your Irish ancestry in our Research Centre.

St Patrick’s Day 2023 at Toitū – with craft activities for the kids, films, talks, dance and more, this is an afternoon and evening of Irish fun for the whole family.

Keep an eye on our website for further updates on timings, movies and activities.
