scott pilgrim versus the modern pop - Scott Pilgrim is a Wellington based song writer who recently rekindled a long held dream to play
live the songs from his first two self produced albums which were recorded upon moving to Wellington in 2009.
Inspired by the city Scott dived into writing expressing the state of his life and the unexpected differences of his new enviroment. Captivated by the quirky bohemia of Newtown and the general friendliness of the locals, Scotts writings of his daily observations turned into quirky, fun, high energy songs which make up the albums "Scott A roy, not a Royal" and "I think I got hit by a meteorite". Now after 14 years the songs are finally being presented live with the help Scott's friends who together present as “scott pilgrim versus the modern pop"
No mans heath - No mans heath is a truly original songwriter. Fusing intricate finger style guitar with sorrowful intelligent vocals the songs are reminiscent of Elliott Smith, Sun Kil Moon and Nick Drake. No mans heath has been described as a ‘beautiful exercise in restraint’.
Agatha Pantha - A Wellington based, folk rock four-piece whose sounds range from bouncing rhythms to dark, tangled ballads to anthemic rock numbers. Agatha Pantha is the product of four unlikely allies joined by musical fortitude and lived experience, here to provide a therapeutic soundtrack to the every day.
Christopher Marshall - Jazz and Blues performer. Sometimes other genres. A regular and favourite at Moon jam nights.
