Songwriters' Showcase #68

A supercharged lineup for our 4 June show, with Dee, Keeva and Planet.

Keeva - Keeva is an up and coming Wellington based musician who has entered Wellington’s folk scene after completing a music degree majoring in jazz performance at the University of Auckland. Being half Irish, Keeva loves to connect with her heritage through music. Her songs capture both the joy and the pain of life with honesty, as is the Irish way.

Planet - "Bagpipes, excitement and Rock n' Roll". Words you don't often hear in the same sentence. Planet mixes traditional bagpipe airs with post punk riffs and a dollop of vaudevillian good humour. It could be world music, it could be underground indie rock. It could be psychedelic folk music. But it's always approachable and certainly a lot of fun.

Dee - Authentic and captivating, Dee van Wel envelops listeners in a reflective soundscape of vibrant guitar playing and striking vocal melodies. Dee has performed at venues and festivals across the country, both solo and with their band Hearth.
