Sappho is a lesbian party brand created by Verity George and her Cowgirl, who have been throwing these very successful gigs for years, providing a haven for women who love women, from 18 to 80+. It's unusual to have so many ages in one place and it gives the event a safe whanau feel.

There's nowhere else like the venue Garnet Station, a 1920's bungalow on the city fringe, on the bus route and with heaps of parking. It's an inclusive space so come along, soak up the vibes and experience some genuine womanly lusciousness.

The most excellent DJ Nic Tims is on the decks for this 7th Sappho where you have the whole place to yourself; to get down in the theatre, pose on the velvet chaise longue, flirt in the fairy lit lane, commune in the secret garden, socialise on the street, meet and greet in the sophisticated cocktail bar, or gaze hungrily at the pizzas sizzling in the Taniwha wood fired oven.
