Poquito are excited to welcome Rob Heyes as our special Songwriter Sessions host on August 24th with special guest Keeva - aka Caoimhe Lane.
Born and raised in the North of England, Rob has made Wellington his home for the past two decades. He's been involved in music one way or another since he was a teenager from cover bands to singing the lead in Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance at the Wellington Opera House. Somewhere along the way he started writing songs. Sometimes nostalgic, other times contemporary, always deeply personal and heartfelt. Rob has a tuneful voice and quirky, folky, lyrical style that's easy on the ear.
Keeva is an up and coming Wellington based musician who has entered Wellington’s folk scene after completing a music degree majoring in jazz performance at the University of Auckland. Being half Irish, Keeva loves to connect with her heritage through music. Her songs capture both the joy and the pain of life with honesty, as is the Irish way.
