Come along this Saturday and find out how climate change could impact water cycles and food production.
This is an opportunity to learn about the most up to date science and policies that relate to climate change in Aotearoa.
Professor James Renwick, Victoria University of Wellington professor of physical geography, and member of New Zealand’s Climate Change Commission, will be providing an overview of the latest IPCC’s 6th Assessment Report main findings. His particular inputs focused on the water cycle, and he will be discussing the implications of rapid changes to the water cycle for our crops and coastlines.
Also to present is Paul White, a scientist with GNS (the Crown Corporation officially known as the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Science). Paul will briefly outline GNS’s approach to developing an energy strategy, and seek your input to this important program.
