“How should we live?” is a question that both secular and religious philosophers have provided many different answers to. Members of the NZARH believe that this question is best answered by a secular humanist approach.

As a possible postscript Mary Ellen Warren will review Book Review: Becoming Pakeha – a journey between two cultures, by John Bluck.
Publisher: HarperCollins (2022) 296 pages.
His post-graduate studies in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the late 60s, threw him ‘Into the cauldron’ (Chapter title) of the Civil Rights movement. He was present in Chicago in 1968 when Mayor Richard Daley allowed troops to turn their guns on protesting youth. In the 70s, working with the World Council of Churches, he experienced the furore created by the council’s Programme to Combat Racism.
