March is Rare Disorders Month. How will you Glow Up and Show Up for Rare?

Rare Disorders NZ and Paintvine are joining forces at Harbourside in Wellington on March 2 to make impactful change, one paint stroke at a time. Join us in creating your own bespoke piece of art representing the call for Aotearoa to #GlowUpShowUp this Rare Disorders Month.

Bring your friends, whānau, team, and partner along for a night of collaboration and conversation to raise money and awareness for the rare disorder community. Unleash your inner creative for a fun, social night out - all while making a difference for the 300,000 New Zealanders living with a rare disorder.

Art supplies will be provided as a Paintvine artist takes you through the steps to create your own piece of art to take home. Come as you are - no artistic skill required.

A glass of bubbles on arrival and nibbles are also included in the ticket price.

Be there or be square. #GlowUpShowUp for Rare.

Kaupapa: Rare Disorders Month
Unlike most OECD countries, New Zealand doesn’t have a national strategy for rare disorders.

Rare Disorders New Zealand (RDNZ) is calling on Aotearoa to Glow Up and Show Up for the rare disorder community throughout March in recognition of a population who has been left in the dark.

Rare Disorders Month is a chance for the 300,000 strong community of patients, as well as their whānau, to rally together and call for urgency in the health reform they’ve been promised.

Living with a rare disorder isn’t rare – the size of the community is similar to that of a big city like Wellington. If you don’t have a rare disorder, then you likely know someone who does. And they need you to Glow Up And Show Up this Rare Disorders Month.

It’s time to glow up and show up for the hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders who are being left in the dark.

It’s time to #DoRightByRare.
