Potts Classic Athletic Meeting

The Potts Classic is one of the leading track & field meets of the NZ summer. It's a chance to see New Zealand's best athletes competing in Hawke's Bay, including Commonwealth Games medallists.

A full programme is scheduled across most track and field events from 2.30pm-8pm. Whether you like the Sprints, Distance Running, Steeplechase, Shot Put, Hammer, Discus, Long Jump or Pole Vault, everyone has a favourite. The 2023 Classic is hosting the NZ under 20 Men's and Women's 3,000m Championships.

Entry is free though a gold coin donation is encouraged: The Classic raises funds for The Hawke’s Bay Cancer Society whilst also supporting the development of young athletes within the Hawke’s Bay region.
