A poetry workshop for beginner to experienced poets that want to improve their craft.

Nadia Freeman has a background in professional facilitation and training and more than 10 years of experience performing and writing for many different audiences and mediums. A workshop where everyone who writes poetry, whether they are a published slam champion or write poetry in private, can leave feeling a sense of a way to progress in their writing.

Saturday 15th of July at Meow Bar, from 10am until 1pm.

Nadia Freeman recently won the Taite Award for Outstanding Music Journalism in 2023 and was the poet in residence at Commonspace in 2021. She has been invited to write and produce several poetry shows that have sold out in New Zealand and the UK. including, Eat These Words, Another Universe, Writing Home and the performance installation Poetry Bistro for a variety of festivals, including The New Zealand Writers Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Performance Arcade Wellington, Hidden Door Festival UK, and Kia Mau Festival.
