Peaceful Driving
Half day course with Kelsang Phunwang
Sunday 26 of March 10am - 1pm

Anger ruins a good day, a good relationship, a good life! It robs us of our happiness and destroys our mental well-being.
Do we lose it when someone cuts us off in traffic, someone grabs the last parking space, or our car breaks down in the middle of the road?
Stress, irritation, frustration and anger are common experiences in modern life.
These painful states of mind can easily arise when we encounter challenging situations or difficult people.
If anger is not recognised early on it becomes a poison that destroys our happiness and interferes with our relationships.

The reason we get angry is that we allow our mind to remain on something that is likely to stimulate anger.
If we catch our mind as soon as it starts to focus on such a thought, it is quite easy to prevent anger from arising and to channel our thoughts in a more constructive direction.

In this half day course, Kelsang Phunwang will introduce methods for recognising and opposing this negative mind, helping us to experience peace of mind and giving us a positive approach to our problems.
Through this, we will be able to leave the habits of anger behind once and for all, and step into a new identity – someone who is peaceful, happy, confident, beneficial, wise, and kind. Eventually we can inspire those around us to do the same.

WHAT TO EXPECT
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend, or to benefit from them. There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion. These classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
