These school holidays, Capital E is excited to host two workshops with author Michaela Keeble, exploring tamariki’s individual experiences of storytelling.
In 2023, Michaela and her son Kerehi published a children’s book together, Paku Manu Ariki Whakatakapōkai. This bold and multi-layered story with beautiful illustrations by Tokerau Brown is about self-determination, narrated by a young boy full of ideas and questions about growing up, belonging, spirituality, culture and who is the boss.
In these workshops for different ages, Michaela will guide tamariki to embrace their creative ideas and explore their unique storytelling voices.
There are two workshops for different age groups, see the session times below.
