'Ocean & I' : The Migration Series
After huge success in 2022, ‘Ocean & I’ is back with over 40 New Zealand artists sharing their connection with the ocean to life through a month long art exhibition.

Running from 23 September to 31 October, you’ll see a collection of artworks on your journey through the National Aquarium including photography, paintings, sculptures and more as artists reflect on their connection with our all-important moana.

The Migration Series
This year the theme for ‘Ocean & I’ is all about migration – exploring the movements of life on, above and around the ocean.

We’ve partnered with Te Wānanga o Aotearoa to showcase the work of talented artists passionate about sharing their connection to the moana and exploring migratory movements of wildlife and people. This year also sees the return of two of our own National Aquarium artists.

Come and join us to see these beautiful works and take a moment to consider the importance of the ocean in your life.
