NZ Digital Premiere: Antonio!

Antonio! is a new New Zealand musical premiering at The Tank, an NYC home for emerging artists, before the crew sails the high seas to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. For one afternoon only, view a livestream of the NYC show on the big screen at Te Auaha!

Doors open at 1 PM. Stream starts at 1:30 PM sharp, followed by drinks, mingling, and a raffle.

What if The Bard wasn’t just reusing a character name, but was instead inspired by one hopelessly romantic pirate looking for love in all the wrong places?

Antonio! is a queer pirate punk musical that reframes - and reclaims! - iconic characters from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Merchant of Venice. With his band The Fools, Antonio expresses the joys, frustrations, and rebellions of queer love in a world that might not have been quite ready for it.
