Join other mental health professionals for a one-hour lecture on how what we eat - impacts our mental health.

Diet and nutrition are very rarely discussed in psychiatry. It's not part of our mental health blueprint. We don't tend to assess diet or take a detailed food diary; yet, what we consume can significantly affect our mental well-being.

Mental health professionals (nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists) often feel that diet is 'outside our scope of practice' - and yet modifying diet can be a simple and appropriate part of a mental health treatment plan - without needing specialist dietician input.

Join us to understand what it is about food that can have such a significant impact on a person's mental state, how we can go about assessing and what we as mental health professionals can advise.
