Northland Performing Arts Competitions: Jazz & Tap Dance

A weekend of modern jazz and tap dance competitions featuring local and visiting dancers in the Capitaine Bougainville Theatre at Forum North.

Sessions:
Friday 8 September: 9:00am, 12:30pm and 8:00pm
Saturday 9 September: 8:00am, 1:00pm and 6:00pm
Sunday 10 September: 8:00am and 2:15pm approx.

Note: Session start times except for first sessions of each day, are approximate only. Next session start time will be announced at the end of the previous session.

Entry is free except for the groups sessions on Saturday afternoon at 1pm and evening at 6pm. Cost for this is $5 per person per session. Cash door sales.

Northland Performing Arts Competitions are an annual festival of dance, music and speech & drama offering a forum for children, students and adults to perform and compete against one another.

The 2023 Festival sections are:
Dance
- Ballet: 2 & 3 September
- Modern Jazz & Tap Dance 8, 9 & 10 September

Music
- Piano & Instrumental: 26 August
- Vocal Junior 12 years and under: 9 & 10 September
- Vocal Intermediate & Senior 13 years and over: 16 & 17 September

Speech & Drama: 23 September.
