Meet at Tranzit Coach Offices at 10:00 am or at Masterton Station at 10:20 (bus train from Wellington gets in at 10:17).

Dave Reynolds, of the Tararua Tramping Club, will lead a two-three hour gentle tramp along this historic mill route for 6.5km.

The track is uneven in places and has minor stream crossings plus bridges. Lovely native bush plus some interesting exotic trees planted by the New Zealand Forest Service.

Tararua Tramping Club organises many tramps into the Tararua and Aorangi Ranges.

Please bring your own lunch, water and snacks for the walk. Good walking boots or sturdy shoes are required, plus a rainproof jacket, walking poles if you use them. You may get wet feet! Kiriwhakapapa Campsite has tables and toilets.

We return by bus, leaving Kiriwhakapapa Campsite at 2:00pm, arrives Masterton approximately 2:30 pm
Fits with Wellington train, dep 3:38 from Masterton Station (have a coffee in town or wait at the station).
