Matariki 2023
Mānawatia a Matariki! “May all the blessings and goodness of Matariki be bestowed upon you.”
This is a phrase we can all use in our celebration of Matariki.

Emma Panapa from Pūheke will take us on a journey to understand the meaning and significance of Matariki. The celebration of Matariki is guided by three major principles: Remembrance – Honouring those we have lost since the last rising of Matariki. Celebrating the present – Gathering together to give thanks for what we have. Looking to the future – Looking forward to the promise of a new year. We will also learn what each of the 9 stars of Matariki represents.

Dr Kath Cooper from Kath Cooper Coaching will then extend upon the principles Emma has explained. Kath will provide an opportunity for us to take these principles and put them into action with a reflection exercise to acknowledge the work we have done so far, and an opportunity to refresh and refine the plan for the rest of this coming year. If you have your Manifesto that you created at the January meeting, bring that along if you would like to use it as part of your reflection tool.
