Set the scene for sharing stories!

Come along for an evening of simple weaving, crafting, and hot soup as you create a table centre to take home for your Matariki celebrations.

You will use recycled and natural materials such as harakeke (flax) to make a group of tea light candle lanterns ready to glow.

We hope you will enjoy the soft light of your centrepiece as you share Matariki kai with whanau and friends over the coming weeks.

Limited places, so please register on the Hastings District Libraries website.

This activity is specifically on offer to older adults as part of a range of social programmes that aim to contribute to people ageing positively while fully participating in society.

We may take photographs or video recordings during events and programmes which may be used in Council promotional material.
