Lunchtime Organ Concert Featuring Bruce Stern

Friends of the Christ Church Organ welcome back Bruce Stern for this lunchtime concert!

Bruce is a regular contributor to lunch-time organ recitals. Since retiring from his profession as a Registered Surveyor he is able to devote more time to his passion for music, which he shares with his wife Margaret. For many years he was Organist and Organ Curator at St John’s Anglican Church, Feilding and is currently Chairman of the Friends of the Lawton Organ. He now plays occasionally at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Marton, and has composed much service music, some of which will be heard at the recital. Bruce says that of all instruments the organ is capable of taking us beyond our everyday existence to an experience which is sometimes described as “spiritual”.

The concert will be held at on Wednesday 5 July from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm. Admission is free although a koha is appreciated.
