This event is part of Conservation Week 2023 - conservationweek.org.nz

Here in Ōtepoti Dunedin, Enviroschools, Keep Dunedin Beautiful and the Department of Conservation are inviting the community to take part in our LitterBlitz! We have two areas across the city, Tomahawk Beach and Prospect Park (part of the Town Belt), which need some mahi done to restore them! An art project, like an outline of species, will be created from the rubbish collected.
While picking up litter, we aim to take notice of the nature around us – the sounds, the smells and the sights, all while working towards the greater good.

If you can't make this location, we encourage you to host a nature clean-up in your own local area, and take notice of what nature you see!

If you want to register your interest or have any questions, please email Hannah Zwalue, Community Ranger, at hzwalue@doc.govt.nz
