Katherine Mansfield House & Garden invites you to enjoy free readings of Katherine Mansfield's stories 'Miss Brill' and ‘In the Botanical Gardens’ in the Begonia House for Te Wā o te Kōanga Spring Festival 2023 at Wellington Gardens.

Katherine Mansfield was an internationally acclaimed writer who grew up in Wellington and whose life and work continue to inspire people around the world, 100 years on from her death in France in 1923. Mansfield was best known for her short stories and ‘Miss Brill’ is one of her classics. ‘In the Botanical Gardens’ is a lesser-known early piece of writing that describes a visit to Wellington Botanic Garden in the early 1900s.
