Ka tū te Rūnanga is an artistic expression, a balance of passion and lived learning.

A mixed media offering influenced by the people, by the place and by the kōrero of Home. An artist offering with the aim to blend indigenous process and practice with modern media and technique.

John Moetara specialises in painting and is active in both Whakairo and Kapa Haka. A local Kaiako at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, on Whirikoka campus, Moetara teaches the program for Māori and Indigenous Arts.
