An exhibition of selected works by well-established (tuakana) and earlier career (teina) Māori artists that was sparked by contemplation of the tuakana/teina relationship. Curated by Ngahina-Belton Bodsworth (Te Ati Awa, Ngāti Rarua, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Toa, MuaUupoko, Rangitane, English, Scottish and Irish) who has pulled together a layered exploration of intergenerational influence, support and challenge.

This event is part the Matariki celebrations at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre (3 - 20 Hōngongoi July 2023). Celebrate Matariki with talented artists from Ōtautahi and beyond. Experience outstanding performances, an exhibition of Māori visual arts, a stunning Kapa Haha showcase, exciting kid's wānanga (workshops) and a Matariki mākete (market).
