Are you up for a school holiday adventure into nature?
Join your Auckland Parks Ranger and the Friends of Shepherds Park to explore, learn and discover more about this fascinating park,

Learn through hands on activities how you can become an Auckland Parks Junior Ranger, while having loads of fun connecting to nature.
• Bug hunts
• Nature treasure hunts
• Secrets of our native plants

Junior Ranger walks are suitable for children age 6-12 years, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is 18 years or over.

NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED – please be geared up and ready to explore 5mins before the walk begins. PLEASE watch Auckland Parks FB page for any updates – cancelations due to wild weather.
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to always supervise their children during the JRW.

What to bring:
•Ranger gears: Make sure you are dressed for the elements, closed in footwear, warm clothing and a raincoat.
•Ranger fuel: Be sure to bring your reusable water bottle and snacks to keep you going.
•Ranger Time: Make sure you arrive early and are all geared up to go at the start time. Rangers are busy protecting our environment so let’s not keep them waiting.
