Italian Short Film Night - Wellington

Bonjourno amici! The best new Italian short films are here. Show Me Shorts and the Embassy of Italy invite you to our annual celebration of bite-size cinema Italiano style. The films have been curated in collaboration with Amarcort Film Festival.

- A woman tries to hustle her family together to take a portrait in 'La Foto Perfetta (The Perfect Photo)', but it's not so easy.
- In 'Chiusi Alla Luce (Closed to the Light)' the camera and sound effects take us inside a frozen snapshot of a dramatic farmyard scene during WWII.
- Extortion and layers of family trust and betrayal are exposed in the dramatic 'Destinata Coniugi Lo Giglio (Intended for Lo Giglio Spouses)'.
- '68.415' is a dystopian sci-fi film set in a world where eating may solve the world's problems.
- An unusual friendship develops in 'Deeper than the Skin', when two men meet in a doctor's office awaiting a diagnosis.
- Things go awry when a group of women throw an unwanted bachelorette party in the comedic 'Bailabamba.'
