Himmerland - New music from Scandinavia, Scotland and Chile across styles, cultures and frontiers!

Himmerland is a group of four traveling musicians, each carrying very different life stories and traditions in their bags. We come from different regions of Denmark , Sweden , Scotland and Chile.

Himmerland is:

Eskil Romme, Soprano Sax (Denmark) / Jens Ulvsand, Bouzouki and Vocals (Sweden) / Donald Hay, Drums (Scotland) / Danka Villanueva Bono, Violin (Chile)

Himmerland released their first album,"New Roots Music from Denmark", in 2012. That album was nominated for a Danish Music Award (Danish "Grammy") as Folk Album of the Year. Since then, Himmerand has released two albums, “The Spider in the Fiddle in 2015 and “Folktone from a global Corner” 2019.
