Demand for Hello Sailor has grown in recent years and seen them share stages with the cream of Kiwi music, playing to over 70,000 people alongside Hammond Gamble, th’ Dudes, Citizen Band, Anika Moa, Dragon, Jordan Luck, Midge Marsden, Stellar*, Gin Wigmore, Zed, Stan Walker, Devil Skin, Jon Toogood, Shapeshifter and Blindspott. In June 2023 they are helping English legends 10cc celebrate 50 years on their Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour.

Hello Sailor in 2023 is dedicated to keeping the music and memory of Dave McArtney and Graham Brazier alive and the current line-up is as close as fans will get to the band’s classic South Pacific Rock’n’Roll sound. Powered by the indomitable rhythm section of Rick Ball on drums and Paul Woolright on bass, they have the Sailor energy and attitude. Harry Lyon has stepped up as lead vocalist and he Jimmy Taylor take care of weaving guitars. Stephen Small on piano and Andy Dixon on saxophone complete the package. Their shows feature Hello Sailor, Pink Flamingos and Graham Brazier favourites, hit songs from Harry’s back catalogue and his 2018 critically acclaimed hit solo-album “To the Sea”.

The show at the Leigh Sawmill will see the electric rock'n'roll 6 piece Hello Sailor digging into their repertoire to stretch their legs before the four date unplugged support slot with 10cc.
