Join Lucy Smith, a local kairaranga (weaver), as she guides you through the process of weaving a small, basic kete. This will be an A4-sized, two-cornered kete that you can keep a taoka (treasure) in.

The workshop will take approximately two hours. Please note you will be put into groups, and this will focus on learning how to weave. One kete is made per group.

All materials are provided, and you will be working with traditional, natural resources.

Suitable for people with some weaving ability, for ages 14 and over.

10am – 12pm, Friday 14 July, Saturday 15 July, Sunday 16 July
