It’s not every day we get to say join us for a fantastic day in a unique setting. So we are excited at Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC) to invite you to be part of this rare opportunity to visit Gibbs Farm Sculpture Park on Thursday, 27 April 2023.
Gibbs Farm open-air sculpture park is home to a series of major site-specific artworks commissioned from some of the world’s most significant artists, including Andy Goldsworthy, Anish Kapoor and Richard Serra.
Getting there
Make your way there by car, there is parking onsite; please follow the instructions as you approach Gibbs Farm via the main entrance (2421 Kaipara Coast Highway) this will help minimise traffic congestion.
Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a day out, wandering around the park, taking in the magnificent sculptures, manicured gardens and breathtaking views of the Kairpara Harbour; don’t forget there are exotic animals too!
What to bring on the day
- Comfortable walking shoes – the paved walk is 6-7 km long; however, you can choose to do as much or as little of this as you please
- Camera – photos are allowed and you are likely to want to take lots
- Sunscreen and hat – we will have sunscreen if you do forget to bring it
- Food & water - there will be a selection of drinks available to purchase on site
- Raincoat – this event will go ahead rain or shine!
Note:
- There are toilets available on site
- The park does have a number of large lakes and ponds that will require supervision with children

There will be no ticket sales at the gate, so get in early to avoid disappointment!
All proceeds from this event will support Kiwis living with blood cancer, or a serious blood condition. Since 1977, our work has been made possible through our fundraising events and the generous support we receive from individuals, companies, trusts and grants. We are not a government organisation and rely on the generosity of our donors for fundraising.
Funding goes to our core services: Patient Support, Research, Information, Awareness & Advocacy.
