Family Fun Astronomy with Lee and Ken

Join us at Marlborough Museum for an evening tour of the Museum including Te Pokohiwi - Wairau Bar 1250 A.D. exhibition. Meet our great new Omaka Observatory Experts to learn more about maramataka Māori (Māori Lunar Calendar). Ken will talk about how Māori used the moon cycles to determine when and what to plant and harvest.

By 9 p.m. the moon will be up and it will just be on sunset. Lee and Ken will bring out the moon scope and set it up to show you the moon.
