Explore toi Maori through raranga harakeke (flax weaving) and the art of whiri (plaiting).
Join Prashanti from the Tasman District Council Community Partnerships team to learn about our wonderful and most versatile native fibre plant, harakeke, and the role it played in our local history. This is an all ages session and together we will learn some raranga tikanga and the art of whiri/plaiting to make rope.
