'Nourish The Soul' features well known Northland artists as well as some emerging artists so pop Tuesday 28 November at 4pm in your diary. We'll be featuring a wonderful range of original pieces and paintings from Rachel Barber, Joanne Barrett, Mike Cameron, Bernie Coetzer, Catherine Dunn, Wendy Galbraith, Joan Honeyfield, Jody Hope Gibbons, Mike Nettmann, Paul Samson, Judi Soutar, Rina Ward, Erika Wasner and Logan White - we can't wait!

This wonderful exhibition is intended to evoke warmth and optimism and to help viewers rediscover soul and balance, imagination and creativity – in effect to nourish our souls through the joy of connecting with others and the beauty they create.

As Gordon Gee eloquently puts it:
“The arts, quite simply, nourish the soul. They sustain, comfort, inspire. There is nothing like that exquisite moment when you first discover the beauty of connecting with others in celebration of larger ideals and shared wisdom”.

In these uncertain times, art in all its forms can often provide solace and inspiration, and a way of escape. Art gives meaning and helps us understand our topsy-turvey world – it’s a force which helps shape and influence our society. Art can offer a sense of grounding, alleviate anxiety, improves mood, lowers stress and helps regulate emotions, and brings pure joy.
