Hearing Education Hawke’s Bay are hosting the first Hearing Expo to be held in the region. The expo ties in with World Hearing Day, on March 3. It is an important focus as 1 in 5 New Zealanders of all ages experience hearing loss and if hearing is lost, it cannot be healed.

Everything Hearing will showcase a wide range of exhibitors. This includes professional, technical, educational and funding experts who can assist with any queries about all things hearing, across all age-groups.

The hearing support dogs will also be in attendance to demonstrate the wonderful work they do alerting their handlers to sounds and alarms.

Hearing Education Hawke’s Bay is grateful for the funding they have received from grants, fundraising events, and donations to make this event possible. Recently, Royston Health Trust provided funding for hearing kiosks which will be on display at the Expo. This event is supported by Stats NZ.

Entry is free for all ages.

If you have any enquiries, please contact Carolynne (021 671 193) or Lynne (021 596 637). Carolynne and Lynne are Hawke's Bay Hearing Educators, who deliver programmes to early childhood and tertiary workplaces, as well as iwi, ngā tangata o Te Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa, migrant and community groups.
