Learn about the history of the Wellington Botanic Garden through Papers Past. In Sept 1869 the first Botanic Garden Board "expended 122 pounds to set out footpaths", "make a nursery garden", and "convert the land into a highly ornamental domain". An easy 75-minute walk.
Meet at the Founders’ Entrance. Cost: $5 (cash only, please). Friends of the Wellington Botanic Garden are free.
