If your child or you have Dyslexia, it might feel that activities take an extra long time, you might feel like you are constantly helping to overcome issues and support them as they learn and go about their lives. This weekend we are the destination to come along to and see what activities work for your Dyslexia family members
Fun for the whole family as well
This weekend’s activities will help your child focus their concentration in a way that will give them some extra methods to overcome challenges and take the next step.
Our activities are designed this weekend to:
• Allow additional time to complete tasks
• Explicit instruction in reading and spelling
• Providing sound charts and other visual supports to assist with learning
• Playing games to support the development skills
• Using manipulatives or hands-on resources
• Get Them Moving - One of the best activities to help a child with Dyslexia is to get them moving
• Create Something - Encourage them to be creative.
• Get Organised - Many kids with Dyslexia struggle with organization, we have some fun organisation techniques and fun games
• Go On an Adventure - Kids with Dyslexia often love adventure, and new experiences are more likely to hold their interest.
• Do a Project Together - Working on a project together can be a fun way to bond with your child while also helping them to focus their skills.
