For a certain generation, Chelsea needs no introduction. For everyone else, just know that she's a legit icon of Kiwi club culture.
The Londoner brought her big laugh and bigger love of rolling house to Auckland in 1995, intending to stay for three months while she visited family.
But with support from the likes of Roger Perry and Soane, she stuck around and became a DJ legend - a mainstay behind the decks at Calibre and the other underground venues powering Aotearoa’s house music explosion.
A true trailblazer, she was a George FM original, part of the studio sessions that yielded Reactor Music classic Holes In Space, and recorded two mix CDs - NZDJ01 and Bottom Heavy - for a major label.
Now living in tropical Queensland, this is her first New Zealand performance for some 15 years, brought to you by pioneering Aotearoa house label Reliable Recordings.
And, for one night only, she'll be reunited with Roger Perry, recreating those hot, heady years when Auckland's house scene came of age. They'll play separate sets - then close the night going back to back, as they've done so many times before.
The line-up is completed by Jason "Rockpig" Hall - half of Subware and himself no stranger to legendary DJ status - and long-term (un)Reliable Recordings artist Chris Reed.
This is a night for those who were there - and those who've always wished they were.
