Content Warnings:
Your Body is a Wasteland is a show told digitally as our Wanderer explores their apocalyptic wasteland. The show itself is a parable for the struggles someone might have as a chronically ill or disabled person, written from the point of view of a chronically ill & disabled person. This is a very personal piece, written by Emma Maguire, regarding their personal views on their own disability. No offence towards the wider disability community is meant.
As such, there’s quite a few trigger warnings for this piece:
Loud Noises, References to Mental Illness, References to Sickness/Disease/Injury, References to Suicide/Self Harm, References to Violence, Swearing. The show is also set in a dystopic or apocalyptic world that could be distressing to some viewers.
