Stories draws together Sione Tuívailala Monū’s moving-image work alongside their work with nimamea'a tuikakala, the Tongan fine art of flower design. In the final weeks of the exhibition, join curator Moya Lawson for insights into the show and its broader contexts. Lawson will talk to the ideas and themes that motivate Monū's practice while positioning them in a wider international context.

Moya Lawson (she/her) is a curator and writer based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. She is curator at City Gallery Wellington Te Whare Toi, and a facilitator at the artist-run initiative play_station. She is currently undertaking a Masters in Art History at Victoria University Te Herenga Waka.
